The book manages to achieve this by ‘unravel[ling] and scrutinis[ing] our discursive understanding of paedophilia’ (p. 4) with a qualitative analysis of media texts (the conservative Sunday tabloid The News of the World, and the liberal daily broadsheet The Guardian), focus group discussions and documentary evidence.
