Isi artikelThe debate over the role of media in children’s education is one about which most people have an opinion. Beyond Technology: Children’s Learning in the Age of Digital Culture succeeds in presenting both sides of this polarized argument as well as effectively stating what the future should hold regarding the use of technology in education. In his book, David Buckingham discusses how to incorporate media into children’s education – not just how to teach with it, but how to teach about it. Rather than asserting that we should revert back to the days when media was not such a prominent part of our lives, the author does a fine job of moving the argument forward by critically examining how media can – and should – be incorporated into education.
