Isi artikelThe discipline of political communication has grown considerably in recent decades. Most social science or humanities departments offer an optional undergraduate module, in some form, on the relationship between media and politics. Entire masters programmes on political communications are now available. While it has been the subject of much research within the broad rubric of political and media studies, journalism and communication, political communications has had its own dedicated journal for well over a decade. From increasing student numbers to scholarly research, the academic world of political communications has indeed developed at a quite startling pace.
