Abstract
Background:
Each educational institution has three main elements, teachers, educational staff and students. Not only the teachers and students, educational staff also often experience a variety of job stress that affects the onset of mental emotional disorders.
Objective:
To identify occupational stress level overview of educational personnel.
Methods:
The study design was cross -sectional, 42 educational staffs which do not have another position as teachers, were obtained by consecutive sampling . The study was conducted at the Faculty of Medicine, Catholic University of Indonesia Atma Jaya, Jakarta, October 2014 -February2015. Respondents assessed by questionnaire characteristics ,and Stress Diagnostic Survey (SDS-30). Data were analyzed with SPSS 17.
Results:
Of the 42 respondents experiencing stress in the
role ambiguity ( 47.6 % ) , role conflict ( 64.3 % ) ,
excessive workload quantitatively ( 61.9 % ) and qualitative ( 71.4 % ) , career development ( 59.5 % ) and personal responsibility ( 61.9 % ) .
Conclusion:
There is a difference between working stress level overview sections with different duties and obligations.
