Abstract
Breast cancer is cancer that often affect women in Indonesia and World, most of them is carcinoma type (99%). Death in breast carcinoma is most caused by metastatic. Before metastatic process is happened, angiogenesis exist first. Angiogenesis is process that determined tumor ability for growing and do invasion to other organs. There are a lot of factors role in angiogenesis in breast cancer, but Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) is the most important factor. This experiment have purposed for finding if there is differencies of immunoexpre
ssion of VEGF between bone metastatic and non
-metastatic breast carcinoma. This experiment used descriptive analitycal method with cross sectional study. The amount of this experiment is 46 sample, divided to two groups which amount
23 sample each group. By using, Mann-Whitney test, showed a significant difference of VEGF immune expression between metastasis and non-
metastatic group with p value = 0.003.
