The main obstacle in the effort to reduce Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) in Indonesia is the death of neonatal. One assessment used to assess the health condition of neonatal is Apgar score. Nutritional status of pregnant women affects the health of the mother and fetus. One of the factors that affect the health and growth of neonatal conditions are obtained for nutritional adequacy in the womb. Therefore, a woman's nutrition is very important to note at the time before pregnancy, during pregnancy and after birth. Methodology. This study is a descriptive analytic study using cross-sectional design. One hundred of seventy three respondents selected according to the research criteria. The data collection was obtained from medical records of respondents. The target population is all pregnant women at Atma Jaya Hospital. Test data analysis performed using chi-square test with p-value = 0.05. Results. Analysis of the data showed that there was no significant association between total weight gain of pregnant women against neonatal Apgar score five minutes, with p-value = 0.311 (p > 0.05). Conclusion. Research on total body weight of pregnant women do not have significant association with Apgar score in the fifth minute of neonatal Atma Jaya Hospital Suggestion.
