In 2009, there were 429,000 new TB cases reported in Indonesia.There are many risk factors that increase the developing of pulmonary TB Smoking cigarette is one of the risk factors that chosen as variable which is studied.. Smoking corresponds with the altering of imunne system that increase the risk of TB Objectives:To screen the TB suspect and detect the new TB case in flats RW 20 in Muara Angke and to describe the variability of types and intensity of smoking cigarettes of the TB suspects. Methods: The descriptive and cross sectional study was carried out. Data was collected from March until August 2014. Five RT were selected by simple random sampling. Screening for TB and smoking behavior were measured by questionnaire. TB suspects were referred to Klinik Paru PPTI Muara Angke for sputum examination and x-rays. Results: Out of 214 respondents, 12 respondents(5,6%) are suspected for TB and there are no TB cases.Whereas for smoking behavior most male are active smokers while most female are passive smokers.
