Diagnosis of typhoid fever is done by looking at the clinical manifestations in patients and supported by additional diagnostic tests. Various additional diagnostic tests can be performed from blood cultures to serological tests, any kind of diagnostic test aim is to identify the bacteria that cause typhoid fever, which is Sallmonella Typhi. Serology test which most often used is the Widal test which have a low sensitivity and specificity, so often overdiagnosis. Therefore it is necessary to determine another rapid test as a substitute for Widal. Tubex® and Typhidot® are the choices. Both of them have higher sensitivity and specificity than the Widal. In this literature review methode of research, the researcher compared the Tubex® test and Typhidot® test. The result is Tubex® has slightly higher sensitivity and specificity than Typhidot®. But in Indonesia itself has not been many studies that compare these two types of rapid tests, it is necessary to do further research to compare both of these tests.
