Abstract
Background: The elderly population was increasing year by year. The increasing number of elderly population caused nutritional problems to the elderly. Nutritional status measurement could determine whether there was nutritional problems to the elderly or not. Subjective Global Assessment (SGA) was one of the methods used to measure nutritional status of the elderly. The aim of this research was to see the description of nutritional status of the elderly at Panti Werdha Santa Anna with SGA.
Methods: This study was a descriptive cross sectional research. The data was analyzed by using Chi Square test.
Results: The results from this research showed that the prevalence of elderly with good nutritional status was 37,20%, in risk of malnutrition or mild malnutrition was 31,40% and severe malnutrition was 31,40%.
Conclusions: The most nutritional status was good nutritional status, followed by in risk of malnutrition or mild malnutrition and severe malnutrition with the same number. There was no relationship between elderly nutritional status and age and gender.
