It has been done the research concerning of mucoadhesive characteristic of type A gelatine extracted from tuna husk (Thunnus alalunga) and it’s ability as a matrix in mucoadhesive granule dosage form. Commercial gelatine (TYpe B) is used as a comparison. The result showed that mucoadhesive properties of fish gelatine (Type A) is better than commercial gelatine (Type B) at the concentration 5%, 10% and 15%. Evaluation of mucoadhesive granule dosage form from both of wash off and bioadhesive test showed that by the addition of solid disperse Furosemide obviously increase of mucoadheston ability of gelatine. The dissolution profile showed that the increase the ge¬latine concentration the slower the drug release at the gelatine concentration of 5% to 15%. It shows that gelatine could be used as a matrix to sustain the drug release
