Isi artikelThis paper discuesses three aspect of complex verbs in bahasa Indonesia. Those are (1) the sequence pattern of complex verbs, (2) the deep structure that underlies the formation of the complex verbs, and (3) syntactic function of the complex verbs. The sequence patterns of complex verbs in a sentence consist of diverbal and triverbal structures. Such structures of complex verbs occur because of the deletion of subordinator and the same subject. Of the complex verbs, there is only one verb that function as the predicator, whereas the rest function as predicate, object, complement, and adverb and have the attributive characteristic.
