It is now well established that antiphospholipid antibodies, either in the context of SLE, or occurring in its absence, are linked to a clinical syndrome of recurrent spontaneous miscarriages and recurrent venous and/or arterial thrombosis. In this report, a patient who had SLE and antiphospholipid antibodies who presented with several diagnostic and therapeutic challenges is described.
