Direct Methanol Fuel Cell (DMFC) as one of the amongst fuel cell used ion exchange membrane, and methanol as an energy sources. DMFC was identified has weakness, which metanol fuel can accros over the system. Modification thru electrolyte polymer; a hydrophobe PolyEther Keton (PEEK) was done to inhibit the cross over of methanol fuel, by sulphonation of PEEK with H2SO4 concentrate, result SPEEK. Research variables was, the ratios of SPEEK/PSf (wt) was 10/0, 9/1, 8/2, 7/3, 6/4. and 5/5. Characterized of product an this researsh was value of water swelling, methanol swelling, and Ion Exchange Capacity (IEC). The result showed that the increasing of PSf (wt) in the blending, effected to the lowest methanol swelling value, water swelling still under 30%.
