Chlamydia trachomatis may cause pelvic inflammatory disease, ectopic pregnancy and infertility among woman caused by impairment of tuba falopii. The aim of study is to know the proportion of Chlamydia trachomatis infection from endocervical secretion. As many as 225 endocervical specimens from patients visited to laboratory Makmal FKUI since February 2008 to July 2009 and all of specimen were diagnosis by PCR Kits. The result of the study showed that 21 (9,3%) sampels gave PCR-positive responses and 204 samples gave PCR-negative responses. This study supported that the PCR method benefits to use the routine diagnose in clinical laboratories.
