Paracetamol is widely-used as an analgesic-antipyretic as well as a model substance in drug interaction study and in an antioxidant-effectivity test. This study was conducted to investigate the hepatoprotective effect of carrot and green apple juice combination against paracematol. The carrot-green apple juice combination inhibition effect against paracetamol-induced hepatotoxicity was evaluated using Swiss male mice. The mice were grouped and given carrot-apple juice with several combinations and dose of 15 ml/kg BW, once a day for 5 successive days. Paracetamol-hepatotoxicity was determined based on GPT-activity level by spectrophotometric method and injured liver-cell intensity by histopathology. The result showa that combinations of carrot and green apple juice with 1:2; 1:1, 1:½, and 1:¼ proportions effectively inhibit paracetamol hepatotoxicity of 70.12%, 50.70%; 26.71%, and 23.46% respectively.
