This article comparesmobile resources and the use ofmobile devices in medicine and healthcare with those in non-practice-based disciplines, examines libraries’ challenges in providing access to mobile resources, and explores the questions of whether and how mobile devices will be able to offer unique benefits to students, instructors, and researchers as mobile technologies continue to advance.
