Abstract
Material handling is an activity that is needed, but the high cost of these activities in the distribution and manufactur. Though labor costs also include high and a huge waste of time, so it takes material handling solutions with Automatic Guided Vehicle (AGV) is a small and cost effective. This thesis explores the design of AGV, in which the AGV is an unmanned vehicle in the modeling of a forklift to lift and carry items within a certain distance beyond the capabilities of human and physical lift beyond the physical capabilities of human mobility. In the design process will be carried out calculations to analyze the strength and rigidity of construction that can withstand the load AGV. Has successfully designed and built AGV can move material and can serve to lift weights 400 grams.
