In response to Michele Naples’ critique, the author suggests that the dispute revolves around different concepts of value. Exploring the contrast between Marx’s concept of value as a ‘selfmoving substance’ and technological determinist concepts, this paper further develops Kliman and McGlone’s view of the value-price transformation.
