Isi artikelThis article criticises abstract economic theories of capital accumulation and discusses their irrelevance as concerns microeconomies. It argues that the problematic of regulation theory needs to be extended so that it covers the domain of analyses of size related problems of accumulation and strategic analyses of hegemonic politics. The author develops a model of size related problems of accumulation and an institutionalist model of hegemonic politics that transcend the theories of the regulation school as concerns regimes of accumulation. Finally, he offers an analysis of the case of Iceland as an example of a regime of accumulation in a microeconomy.
