Isi artikel
Expert systems technology is "coming of age" in education (Haynes, pilato, and Malouf,1987). Expert system development products are available for MS-DOS and Macintosh computers, and increased attention is being paid to this innovation. Witness, for example, the special issue of Educational Technology on artificial intelligence in education (1987). However, while the technology itself may be coming of age, the implementation of that technology in school settings is not. It remains true that the excitement about expert systems for education comes more from expectations of what they can do than from what they have already done (Richards, 1989). This article discusses the implementation of one expert system in several school setting and presents some of major lessons learned from our implementation experiences.
