Tthe sexual harrasment is a phenomenon that frequently happen in the society and experienced by women. Women can receive sexual harrasment from men anywhere and anytime. The minor type of sexual harrasment and less serious ones are more easily found and create different interpretation. The aim of this study is to investigate why do working women have different interpretation about behaviours that has been conceptualized as sexual harrasment, several women perceiver those behaviours as positive, whereas several others perceive them as negative behaviours. One factor that influence a person's perception is the value the person hold in life. This study, therefore is aim to examine the relation of value type to the perception of sexual harrasment in the workplace. this study involve 65 working women in Jakarta aged 20 - 30 years old who frequently observed the act of sexual harrasment in the workplace. they are asked to fill out the Schwartz Values Survey and perception of Sexual Harrasment questionnaires. The result of the study shows that the safety value is considered important by the women who have negative perception on sexual harrasment, whereas the achievemnt value is important for women who have positive perception.
