Isi artikel
In the past 10 years, numerous researchers have investigated the relationship between antibodies to ribosomal P proteins and neuropsychiatric manifestations in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus. Some investigators have concluded that there is a clear association between these antibodies and neuropsychiatric complications,&dquo; while others have demonstrated minimal relationship between these variables.5,6 Methodological differences among the studies likely explain a great deal of the variability in the findings. For example, an ’association’ between the antibodies and neuropsychiatric manifestations has been reported if there was a statistically significant difference in the frequency of positive findings in people with versus without neuropsychiatric manifestations of SLE (NP-SLE).
