Ninety delegates from seven countries attended the launching of the EU/UNFPA Reproductive Health Initiative for Youth in Asia (RHIYA), the second phase of the Reproductive Health Initiative (RHI). Held on 17 November 2003, the one day affair brought together youth from Cambodia, Nepal and Viet Nam as well as EC delegations from Thailand and Bangladesh. Also present were the representatives from the various NGOs and the staff of RHIYA Umbrella Programme Support Units (UPSUs) from the seven countries, UNFPA Headquarters and the RHIYA Central unit in Brussels. Dr. Chea Samnang, UNFPA's Goodwill Ambassador from Cambodia, also graced the occasion.
