The profession of a school counselor develops in Indonesian schools, from the elementary until the middle school. There are some roles that school counselor should have in order to helping students. he purpose of this reserach is to determine the student perception of the school counselor's roles. The method used is a survey design. The results show that the school counselor have performed the role as a leader, an advocate, a collaborator, a counselor, a data collector, anad a manager.
