Abstract
Electronic Laboratory in Electrical Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering Atma Jaya Catholic University has some sensor experiment circuit modules which are not well integrated. The modules are not assembled with its signal conditioning circuit. This condition makes the students get difficulties to acquire the right data which are homogenous to the data taken before. This condition makes the students cannot comprehend the purpose of the experiments. A computer based sensors measurement tools module needs to be made to solve this problem. Temperature sensors and light sensors are the main parts of the sensor module. Each of the sensors is designed with its specified conditioning circuit. The circuits of the sensor give output voltage as the reaction of stimulus. LM 35 and thermocouple outputs need to be amplified before it is connected to the microcontroller. The microcontroller receives the sensors output with Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) pin. The data are processed and converted to digital before it is sent to the computer. The sensors give good linearity result in a limited range of stimulus source given. IC LM 35 and thermocouple give better linearity rather than NTC. The LDR gives better linearity rather than phototransistor and photodiode.
