Abstract
PT. SF is a company that runs its business in fire extinguisher production sector. One critical
component of fire extinguisher is cylinder, which is consisted of various parts which are supplied by 3
suppliers. This research is not focus on deciding which vendor is the best. Instead, it is focuses on
deciding allocation of each cylinder's parts to appropriate vendor. To perform components allocation, 4
criteria is used, there are: reject level, payment transaction, delivery and price. Each criterion has sub
criteria and sub-sub criteria. Since there are connection in one set of element (inner dependence) and
connection between difference elements (outer dependence), Analytic Network Process (ANP) method
is used to analyze the model. The ANP diagram is build for each supplier. As alternatives, various kinds
of cylinder parts are identified. The results of this analysis are rating allocation of each part to each
supplier.
Using proposed system, the number supplier selection criteria is increasing and more detail.
Since almost all criteria can be measured quantitatively (based on historical data), the process will be
more objective. Moreover, company does not have to urge one supplier to fulfiil all demands. Instead,
each part's demand could be spread between suppliers, with certain preference, according to historical
supplier performance. However, the system still has limitation, especially for new supplier because all
performance measurement are based on historical data, it would be difficult to asses performance of
incoming supplier
