Abstract
PT. Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia is a company engaged in the automotive field. The purpose of this study is to optimize inventory planning so as to reduce the risk of shortage / excess pile of parts. It certainly requires some planning to determine the amount of inventory of parts that need to be prepared. In this study, the results obtained in inventory planning will be information in determining the layout of the warehouse in accordance with the conditions at hand. PT. Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia has 423 types of parts are stored in a local warehouse small parts that have different levels of demand. Used to determine the ABC classification of inventory planning. Based on the classification obtained 78 types of parts
fast moving and slow-moving 345 units. Planning for fast moving parts inventory using inventory model Q. The results of this model is the optimal order quantity and reorder point. While the slow-moving parts using a model P. Where the output of this model is the interval during booking and expectations of demand and lead time interval reservation. In this research, the preparation of warehouse layout using dedicated storage, class - based storage, and randomized storage. Where each method has its foundations berbedasa from each other.
