This is so important because the aging of the elderly is not followed by their good quality of life. The goal of this study is to find the correlation between the mobility level and the developing of dementia in elderly. The experiment was done using an interview to gain the information fro the respondent, the first interview is using a mobility scale to measure the mobility of the elderly. The second is using the Mini Mental State Examination as the instrument to measure the cognitive function of the respondents. Data was gained from all 69 respondents, 68 of them have an independent and safe mobility (98,6%) and 1 respondent has disturbance in mobility (1,4%). MMSE results show 55 of the respondents have a good cognitive function (79,7%), and 14 respondents have a disturbance in their cognitive function (20,3%). The Spearman correlation test was initiated and showed p as 0,47 or in other word there is a significance correlation between mobility and the developing of dementia in elderly. The aim of this study is to find out whether there is a correlation between mobility and dementia in elderly, and to find its intervention as its next goal.
