Abstract
PT. Mulia Knitting Factory is a manufacturing company engaged in the production of apparel products such as underwear, t-shirts and other courtiers. As with other manufacturing companies, PT. Mulia Knitting Factory also has problems in the production process. The problem faced by companies today is the amount of product produced excess of demand. Addition of defects produced and the costs incurred by the company. It is the waste caused by poor performance on the production floor. The purpose of this study is to identify waste and to calculate the value of the performance criteria that exist in the company and provide a proposal to the company to enhance the value of the performance on the production floor. From the results of research conducted in the get that the company still uses a push system. From the data processing in get that value Process Cycle Efficiency (PCE) condition currently only 0,07%, this indicates the condition of the company is far from being " lean ". While the value of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) is 75,73%, with the division
criteria: availability, performance and quality with their respective values are 86,46%,96,70%, and 90,58%. Based on the proposed criteria are then made using a lean approach. Implementation of this proposal done in several ways, namely elimination of work elements, fullwork, fishbone diagram, kanban system and the proposed production process flow. Of the proposals that have been made available by the PCE value increase 29,48% to 29,55% and by 3,65% OEE be 79,38%.
