This reasearch began with the awareness of fast technology development. Many robots have been used in manufacturing industry. For that reason, college student need to learn the technology itself. University of Atma Jaya has introduced this kind of education through the practicum of automation design and industrial system, especially in module six, known as “integrated manufacturing robotic”. In that module, integrated manufacturing system is simulated, but there is some problems which disrupt the learning process for college student and assistant. This research is meant to evaluate the problems that occur, and design the new plant to fixed that problems, so the learning process for both college student and assistant can be improved. There are limitations for this research, involving the component used, cost, and time. The methods that is used to gather data is very simple, just like normal observation, interview, and group discussion. Gathered data is the problem of the old robotic plant, this data is the reference for the new plant design. The big picture and layout of whole plant is analyzed by Maria Tri Yunita. The result of this research are new robotic plants, which is integrated to one another to make a whole system which reduce the problems found before. This new whole plant is used for the learning process so it can directly improve the learning process for both college student and assistant. |
