Abstract
PT Kurabo Manunggal Textile Industries (PTKUMATEX} is a company specialized in textile industry that yarn was one of their products. The fronts spinning plant was one of factory at PT. KUMATEX. In this plant, there 're several production process that processes the raw materials to be a yarn. Spinning was a major activity in the plant, where there 're 56 spinning machines for the production process.In addition to the problem of spinning machines work assignment, assignment subjectively by the company is still difficult to assess the performance and effectiveness. Then it's required to make a research on spinning machine job assignment using a modified Hungarian method, which uses a combination of functions to maximize production and minimize the completion time with concept the highest number of orders and the use of most machines. Assignment for November 2013, spinning machine job assignment with the objective function to maximize the number of production and the highest number of orders is able to produce safety stock as much as 14.593% from total order quantity and completion time can save as much as 12.735% from existing due date. Then assignment for December 2013, it's able to produce safety stock as much as 32,349% from total order quantity and completion time can save as much as 24,442% from existing due date.
