Abstract
World industry plays an important role on the global economy . This makes existing firms compete to fix its system , ranging from production systems , distribution systems , even systems sales . However, there are important things that are sometimes overlooked by companies . Namely warehousing systems . Although the warehousing system is not a process of adding value to an object, but if applied with an improper way it will be fatal, especially in the company's production stream.The main problem in the study of PT . Federal Karyatama is product placement so irregular in finished goods warehouse , so the FIFO system is not running properly and the use of storage areas that are not maximal . Referring to the existing problems , then try to design a tool that aids the automated warehousing system . This is a miniature props shelving system that will be created in the storage shed . Warehousing system that is applied to focus on placement and retrieval system output . The purpose of this study is to propose improvements finished goods warehouse layout so that activities can be run with optimum warehousing , as well as provide automated storage rack systems proposed in the finished goods warehouse .Although there are deficiencies in the design of the prototype , but the prototype was able to describe the outline of the warehousing system . Thus conclude by designing a prototype to describe the storage rack warehousing systems that exist in the real situation .
