The exsistense of the Syariah Life Insurance which is managed based on Islam principles has not been understood well by most of theIndonesian peaple,who are majority Moslem.The objective of this paper is to discuss the Syariah Life Insurance viewed by some Islamic public figures and scholars.The data collected from bibliography as well as from the field research at Syariah Life Insurance at AJB Bumiputera 1912 Jakarta and analyzed descriptively.It is important to note that based on the rules of Indonesia Ulema Council No.02/DSN-MUI/x/2001 dated October 17,2001 regarding Syariah Insurance General Guideline,7(seven) Syariah Insurance operational regulations are stipulated namely those not containing Gharar(deceit,uncertainty),Maisyir(Gambling),Riba (interest),Zhulm(ruthlessness)
