The time period is one aspect which should be considered on the Article 340 of the criminal code on premeditated murder.It has a different implication both in the theory and practice.The objective of this research is to discuss the measurement of the purposely aspect in the murder criminal on purpose based on the article 340 Criminal Law Code.The method used legal research called as a D octrinal Research and approaches to wards the law codes both theory and concept,as an analysis on law material by the interpretative-method.The result shows that the measurement of time period in purposive aspect on the article 340 Criminal Law Code where according to Memori van Toelechting(MvT) it must have the time period as a consideration before deciding to do the murder as it was shown in the murder case at Cibinong Law Court.It is suggested that the aspect of time period must be explained more detail whether measured by second,minutes or hour.
