Abstract
Cell therapy was one of alternative therapy to treat degeneration diseases in hope of organ or tissue repairment. Mesenchymal stem cell was found in the human peripheral blood (PB). PB was a promising source that can be used as an alternative source of MSC for cell therapy. Objective: This research aimed to observe and prove the effect of Centella asiatica Linn (CA) extract and Acalypha indica (AI) Linn extract in enhancement population and cell viability PB-MSC/PBMC to conform quantity cells for cell therapy Method: experimental studies in vitro on primary culture and subculture of PB-MSC/PBMC which treatment of CA and AI extract. The relative cell viability and cell proliferation rate of peripheral blood mesenchymal stem cell are measured by MTT method. Result: relative cell viability and cell proliferation rate of PB-MSC/PBMC in primary culture cells and subculture which treatment of CA extract have a significant higher proliferation than the control group and AI extract (p <0.05).CA extract is more useful for increasing cell proliferation rate and relative cell viability compared to AI extracts in PBMC culture to obtain MSC that will be used for cell therapy.
