Abstract
In the internal combustion engine, the completely combustion can provide maximum output and emissions produced environmentally friendly. One way to improve the combustion process by adding HHO gas is the result of electrolysis of water in the combustion chamber via the intake manifold. In the electrolysis of water, the voltage required to occur chemical reaction at the anode and the cathode in order to obtain HHO gas. To set the voltage of the electricity used in electrolysis of water used potentiometer so that the voltage magnitude can be determined, because of the voltage determines the amount of HHO gas produced. From the results of the test voltage variation of 10 Volt, 11 Volt and 12 Volt HHO generator to engine performance obtained by 12 Volt power supply voltage provide the best outcomes. In the 12 Volt power supply voltage power increase of 3%, 5% increase in torque as well as a decline in the average levels of CO emissions by 75%, HC 47% and an increase in the average levels of NOx emissions by 30%.
