Abstract
Introduction
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children and teenagers in the world achieved 5.29% and 5% in Indonesia. ADHD gives some negative impacts for the social life, academic and the future of the patient. Current diagnosis of ADHD is be appointed based on Text Revision of Fourth Edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV-TR). This criteria are measured by rating scale which is presented in some questions which will be answered by parents and teachers. Two of many rating scales are ADHD Rating scale IV (ADHD-RS-IV) which is used in many country and Vanderbilt ADHD Rating scale (VARS) which is still new. So, the writer wants to compare the accuracy of these rating scale in diagnosing ADHD.
Methods
The writer searches the data for reviewing diagnostic accuracy of ADHD-RS-IV and VARS in diagnosing ADHD.
Discussion
From some literatures examined by the writer, mentioned that ADHD-RS-IV more accurate and more objective in diagnosing ADHD.
Conclusion
ADHD-RS-IV diagnoses ADHD more accurate than VARS
