The study assesed the reliability and validity of the disability items in the Indonesian Basic Health Survey 2007 (Riskesdas). In total 664197 adults were assesed using Riskesdas disability items, a combination from WHODAS and Washington Group disabiliy census instrument. Reability was tested by correlating item with total score for there different groups: total respondents, and 50% of the total respondents each. There was cosistent correlation of item total score among the three groups. Factors analysis was then performed to identify domain in the Riskesdas disability items, which resulted in 3 Domains: organ, function & social participational, and assistance. There is quite high correlation among organ and function domain, r= 0,7. Validity was meansured by the ability of the three domains to differentiate group with symptom or ever diagnosed or SRQ > 5 from group without the three conditions. results showed that the three domains have good discriminating ability.
