One of stress reaction is smoking. This research objective is to find out whether there is any relationship between job stress and the smoking habit of employees of Pusan Manis Mulia Co.,Ltd. year 2012. Method: This cross-sectional research involved 120 employees of Pusan Manis Mulia Co.,Ltd. as respondents, comprising 68 men and 52 women. Job stress was measured using Job Stress Inventory (JSI) questionnaire, while smoking habit was measured using questionnaire asking whether respondent smokes routinely in the last 6 months and quantity of cigarettes being smoked per day. Data analysis on this research was analysed using Chisquare test to find out whether there is any connection between job stress and smoking habit. Results: Majority of non-smoking respondents (60%) compared to the smoking respondents (40%). While for the job stress, majority of respondent are not undergoing job stress (91,7%) compared to the respondents undergoing job stress (8,3%). Analysis for demographic factors such as gender, age, educational level and income with smoking habit obtained < 0,05 .Other than that, between job stress and smoking habit obtained > 0,05. Conclusion: There is a meaningful relationship between demographic factors such as gender, age, educational level and income with smoking habit.
