Isi artikelThe 21st century is characterized by a revolutionary learning paradigm. The trend of constructivistic teaching strategy which defines learning as the learner's construction of knowledge; and the awareness on the importance of egalitarianism between learners and teachers are all those the characteristics of the new paradigm. Also, the advancement of technology in English teaching and learning process support the constructivistic and egalitarian paradigm. It is said that the most creative and prolific array of strategies and applications for enhancing teaching with technology is to be found in the English language teaching. This paper tries to describe the teacher competencies required in the new learning paradigm as well as some methodological approaches involved in the future EFL teacher-training programs.
