NOVA is for the female market segment that provides a variety of information to the needs of women with a form of tabloid readers. Tabloid NOVA first published in 1990 under the banner of PT Kompas Gramedia and the pioneer for women tabloid in Indonesia. NOVA contains about 32 pages in each edition with such rubrics serving dishes along with recipes, information, beauty, family, food, health, career, TVC, and fashion. The practice of internship was conducted from 23 April 2012 until 23 July 2012. Working days start from Monday to Friday from 09.00 until 17.00. During his internship at NOVA practices, the author was placed in the Marketing Communication NOVA. The author assisted Mrs. Irma, one of Marketing Communication Managers in NOVA. Tabloid NOVA’s strengths include its experience as one of the first female tabloid in Indonesia (1990), a comfortable working environment, modern and complete facilities, and cooperation with large companies as a media partner (Kraft, Tupperware, etc.). While disadvantages include the distribution of branch business unit that has not been evenly distributed throughout Indonesia, the lack of the use of television as a promotional media, quality tabloid printed materials, and how the placement of the articles in the tabloids. |
