Apprenticeship is one of the prerequisites to completed student thesis in Faculty Economics Department Management at University Catholic of Indonesia Atma Jaya. Implementation of the authors do an internship for three (3) months (September 25th – December 28th, 2012) at PT Schneider Indonesia, which is located at Jln. R.A Kartini Kav 26, Jakarta 12430, Cilandak. The authors carry out practice internship in division Learning and Development Officer (L&D Officer) as Officer Support which Mrs. Agnes Anggraini as my guide. During the practice of apprenticeship, the author helps the division of L&D Officer to the preparation (pre-training, training, post-training) New Employee Orientation (NEO) Training. The authors analyze the NEO training based on the theory of designing training by Noe (2010) which includes Need Assessment, Theories and Program Design, Transfer of Training, and Training Evaluation. The result is there compatibility and incompatibility between theory and practice by PT Schneider Indonesia in conduction NEO training. Of the four theories designing training, PT Schneider are prefer using theories and program design for the implementation of training. Because the training is not only at classroom but also directly at Schneider Pulogadung factory. Implementation of internship practices conducted by author perhaps can be input for company in order to continue to make improvements implemented training systems in order to achieve company goals |
