Is the visual signal always simultaneous with the verbal one? Is the order of the objects focused on visually identical with the order of objects focused on verbally? Can we find a comparable unit in visual and verbal data? It is, of course,difficult to separate temporal and semantic aspects in the analysis. We have to consider the ‘contents’ of the verbal and visual foci on the timeline.
