Isi artikelInfluenza AlH5N1 virus is a major cause of epidemic influenza in poultry in Indonesia since 2003. Furthermore, Influenza A/H5N1 is considered to threat human health when the human first case was detected in Indonesia in July 2005 and until May 2008, the number of human cases is increasing. The study to determine risk Jactor oj exposure to Influenza A/H5N1 virus in collector-house workers was conducted in 34 locations in Jakarta in April 2007. Interview and collection of blood samples was performed in 216 person. Antibody test using Hemagglutination Inhibition (HI) test and neutralization showed 12 % oj collector-house workers had antibody titer anti H5, most of them came from East Jakarta (25%). There are no collector house workers that had severe influenza symptom since last 6 month. In conclusion, antibody titer-result without any symptoms is suggesting the probability of asymptomatic or mild Influenza/AH5N1 infectionin col/ector-house workers in Jakarta.
