Abstract
This research was done with the purpose to obtain databases anthropometry elementary school students in a sitting position by using conventional method. This research was performed due to lack of research titled database in Indonesia and expected to become a database dimensions anthropometry. In this study, the resulting databaseconsist of 19 size dimensions of the human body in a sitting position. The study is done by the use of 273 samples of students elementary school male and female by the span of the ages of 7 and 11 years. The collection of data on research carried out at the end of October until early November 2012. The data in this study were collected through the form identity and form measurement results which are then processed with normality test, significant test and test anova by using software Minitab 14.
The result of normality test for each sub population gender and age group showed there was some data that not normal. Although the data is not normal, the data still can be processed further. Significance test results idicate the majority conslusion data reject H0.It means that most of the data tested, there is not differences dimensions between male students and female students. From the anova test, the result that most of the dimensions in the sitting position has a significant differences between the ages of 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 years for both sexes male and female. The output of the database obtained from the processing of the data is the average (mean), srtandard deviation, and also percentile that consists of 1%, 5%, 10%, 90%, 95% and 99% of 19 dimensions body. The database that finally produced can be applied to the
population of elementary school students in DKI Jakarta.
