Isi artikelThis article discusses the life and work of Constance Pascal, the first French female psychiatrist, and is the sequel to a medical theSiS4 recently presented. Research began after reading an article in which Dr Madeleine Pelletier was named as the first French woman psychiatrist. As one of us suspected that the real pioneer was Constance Pascal, curiosity prompted us to find out exactly who she was. Our investigation confirmed that she was indeed the real French pioneer, professionally active from 1905 to 1937. However, her work has been ignored until now.
