Efficiency and effectiveness becomes a major factor in the competitive business world and not an exception in the case of intangible assets such as knowledge management. Surya Jaya Stone is a small and medium industries engaged in the processing of natural stone. Surya Jaya Stone also felt that with better knowledge management is an important thing for the company. Though still urgently needed but the potential business development with better knowledge management, will be the capital for future business progress.The method used in this study using the application of taxonomic models introduced by Patrick Lambe (2007), which is expected to create Enterprise Taxonomies consistent way for employees to create and use information and knowledge sharing and making it easier to access the information on the SMEs.This study aims to design the concept of knowledge taxonomy models as part of a knowledge management system based on the business activities carried on by Surya Jaya Stone. This taxonomy aims to overcome the problems of management and use of information and knowledge of the technical competence of human resources at Surya Jaya Stone. It is expected that the model is able to provide an overview of information and classification concepts that can facilitate the process of knowledge sharing and use a more accurate and consistent from time to time on an ongoing basis.
