Abstract
Technology is the knowledge, products, processes, tools, methods, and systems that applied to produce goods and provide services. Along with the times, the technology also continues to evolve and influences human life. The times demand of each industry to continue to innovate both on the results of existing products and technologies in the industry. Management of technology takes an important role in the development of the industry. Management technology to learn how to connect the technology strategy with business strategy to improve profitability, how technology can improve the system in a manufacturing or service industries, and set the standard technology used by an industry so as to define
business strategies and technologies used by a particular industry. Technometric Model assists in determining an industry standard and proprietary technologies using Model Formulation Dussauge, Stuart, & Ramanantsoa (1997) obtained from the standard technology Technometric calculations can determine what steps can be taken by the industry in making arrangements to meet the technological acquisition technology needs of an industry is. The case study research was conducted at SMI Kulit and SMI Batik Retno Mulyo. Assessment of the level of technology is done by calculating the value of TCC (Technology Contribution Coefficient) of the component technoware, humanware, infoware, and orgaware owned by SMI Kulit and SMI Batik Retno Mulyo, is conducting a five-step Technometric model calculations . Both of these SMIs have a TCC value of 0.000286 for the SMI Batik Retno Mulyo, while the value of 0.000154 for SMI Kulit TCC at both very low and the SMI can be said that the level of technology owned by the SMI is located at the traditional level. Referring to the results of Technometric model calculations and interviews with relevant parties, then we can determine which SMI should have preparation technology acquisition. By comparison with the current state of technology with the technology standards that should be owned by the SMI. SMI Batik Retno Mulyo has current state of technology is lower than the standard technology. Therefore, based on the results of Technometric Model and Dussauge, Stuart, & Ramanantsoa Formulation Model (1997) by direct observation. Can be analyzed that to fulfill the needs of SMI Batik Retno Mulyo, SMI owners should make the acquisition process with SMI Batik Tulis Kebun Indah that create an educational institution for batik makers to produce a better product and maintain its market position and be able to compete with competitors.
