Abstract
Weaving is one of PT. Kurabo Manunggal Textile Industries (PT. KUMATEX) departement that produces work in process goods or well known by Gray fabric. “Engineering to Order” production pattern that applied by the company makes different types of product and loom machine assignment job wasn’t fixed. Therefore, quantity and quality each product which completed before due date is the most important things in this company. The research about relationship each factor : RPM machine, production efficiency, feed density, and fabric length:affect total production of gray fabric everyday and the factor influence for each piece of gray fabric production needed to know the pattern and machine relation which available before production of any types of fabric will assigned to the 62nd loom machine in PT. KUMATEX.
Based by the formulated problems, then it will makes three research outline: correlation test, signification level, regression equation between four factors which affect production output and the influence of each factor to the piece produced every day. The proceed with the assignment of fabric loom machine for demanded fabric. Correlation method test, significance level test, and regression equation using Pearson Correlation, sig-2tailed level, and Simple Regression Pattern. The assignment of loom machine work using modification of Hungarian method based two objective function: Maximized total amount of fabric production each week and minimized order completition time.
From the correlation test result, known that the four factors don’t have strong direct relation each other, and between the four factors, feed density is the most critical factor that affect total amount of product produced by the loom machine. However, the result of the assignment show that Hungarian modification method can create fixed assignment pattern for each objective function. Based on the assignment in February and March 2012, the assignment result can maximize total amount of pieces with average safety stock reaches 17,69% from the total order quantity and cut the order completition time until one week earlier for the beginning of the monthly assignment.
