Isi artikel
The 1960s look like the golden age of economic development. GDP in Latin America, East Asia, and the OECD countries was growing at about 5 percent a year. South Asia and Sub-Saharan africa were trailing close behind. Predicions for the future were frankly optimistic and interestingly rosier for Africa and somewhat bleaker for east asia. Growth would continue (if not accelerate) and proverty would be sharply reduced.
